First Baptist Church was founded on January 15, 1848. We have been relating the Good News of Jesus Christ for 169 years. Each generation has tried to faithfully focus on putting “first things first,” calling people to discover that God loves them and in turn invites each one into a love relationship with Himself. As we grow in our love with God we are also learning to love others and ourselves weil.
Come join us on this journey as we walk with Jesus, who is the Way, so that we can know Jesus who is the Truth, and gain the Jesus Life (John 14:6) Explore our pages and see how you might get involved with us.

April 9th, Palm Sunday
We start off the Holy Week Palm Sunday, March 20, celebrating Messiah Jesus entering into Jerusalem. The family theme for the week is “The Crucified King”. Through music and the our scripture for the week, Matthew 27:11-54, we will worship God by celebrating His plan for our redemption.
Thursday, April 13th Maundy Thursday, 7:00 PM
Through scripture, song and prayer, we will reflect on the love that Jesus showed his disciples in the upper room and the love he commands us as his disciples to have for one another.
We will take time to prayer for one another and the world around. Asking our Lord how we can serve the world around as he did.
April 16th, Easter Sunday
Jesus has risen! He has risen indeed! Through out the centuries the church has declared the resurrection of Christ with these words on this very special Sunday. It is the resurrection of Jesus that gives us the assurance that our sins are forgiven, that we too have been raised with Christ to live the resurrected life. We will be worshipping through song, scripture and baptisms with the theme: “The Risen King,” looking at Matthew 28:1-15.
